About the Course
The Strengthening Resilience and Self Care online pre-recorded course aims to support you to gain a better understanding of the different tools and resources that can help to strengthen resilience.
Resilience is often referred to as the art of “bouncing back”.
Exploring and developing new skills, may help you to cope better with the impact of the sexual violence you have been subjected to.
The skills explored in this course, may also help you when facing everyday life challenges.
The topics covered on the course include:
1. Introducing and understanding the Window of Tolerance.
2. Trauma informed mindfulness
3. Managing trauma symptoms
4. Goal setting and empowerment
5. Building and strengthening healthier relationships
What to Expect
The course is made up of different videos, each focusing on a different topic. You can work through the course at your own pace, and you do not need to watch the videos in order, although this may be more helpful. You can choose to watch only some videos that feel most suitable for you, or you can engage with the whole content.
The course encourages you to engage in self-reflective exercises, and to be pro-active in trying some of the techniques and skills discussed. However, it is important to remember that everything is optional, and you are in control.
